Theodorou Jiu-Jitsu & Total Body Shaping at 1500 Middle Country Road, Centereach, New York.

This is a good Japanese jiu jitsu gym. I was originally looking for a Brazilian jiu jitsu gym but I joined here for about 6 months. I definitely learned a lot and had fun. Master phil definitely knows what he's doing, and after training judo and bjj now I know the techniques he teaches are pretty good. He seems to be great with kids.

Theodouro academy is a great place to learn some striking, grappling and self defense techniques. I wish I could train judo, bjj and here but unfortunately thats too much time and money.

The best part of Theodouro Academy is the live sparring. Both boxing and grappling. It's extremely enjoyable and useful. I miss having so many people to box with.

His students are primarily young adults which isn't too great for older adults, as you wanna train with other adults. Also, class was usually cut a few minutes short for the total body shaping class, which felt like they were being given priority. Those are the only reasons I'm giving it 4/5 stars.

I had no problem cancelling my membreship. They asked for 2 weeks notice, i gave them 2 weeks notice, and they never billed me again.
